Summary, etc The purpose of the research was to investigate the educational challenge facing children with disabilities. The case of Irianga parish, Laroo Division, Gulu district. This came through a thorough insight form the researcher's point of view basing on the fact that CWDs in nothern Uganda are at a Qua-mire stage given the evidence that majority do not complete their primary cycle due to a number of un researched reasons.

all objects of the study aimed at enhancing pragmatic planning in the disability department of Gulu district, local government and the ministry at large.

Research questions were used to direct the study, while both qualitative and quantitative research design were used used that attention was not only being paid to describing. Cluster, stratified and purposive sampling techniques were used to cater for the differences in areas of school locations and work designations of the respondents.

The data analysis later revealed that, CWDs face many problems in as fas as their education is concerned and that does not only affect them but the society at large.
The study further shows that there are current exercises being performed by different stakeholders towards mitigating the problems of CWDs much as it's yielding little impact on CDWs. The study therefore suggested a number of things that when taken into consideration can help minimize the educational challenges of CWDs.

|However, in gathering data, the researcher experienced many difficulties, temptation, trials and hardships but all in all, data collection and analysis up to submission of final report was successful.
